Built from inside an RV

Ty B. has lived full-time in a 33-foot travel trailer since 2020. The tools here exist because they were needed first, before they became a website.

Where this comes from

Six years of full-time RV living teaches the questions nobody writes down: can my truck actually tow this loaded? how do I winterize without learning from a cracked pipe? who do I call that will actually show up?

Those questions became the calculator, the guides, and the directory, and the standard every tool is held to: it has to be free, and it has to answer like someone who's done the job.

The weight math is open about its limits: estimates, not guarantees, verify at a certified scale. Every guide carries the date its claims were last checked. The directory lists each business, where it works, and what it does.

How the guides are put together

Each guide names the documents behind its claims and links them at the foot of the page: the maker's own manual, the state statute, the recall notice, the federal agency publication. Where two sources disagree, both are named. Where a figure is a maker's own specification rather than a standard, the page says which it is. Where nothing authoritative exists, it says that too.

The date at the top of a guide is the date its claims were last checked against those documents, not the date it was written. Reasoning that belongs to the site rather than to a source is written as reasoning.
