The campaign number is the thread through a recall: the federal report, the maker's own notice and any repair instruction all carry it.

Service bulletins

A recall is a safety defect. A service bulletin is the maker telling its dealers how to deal with something, and the federal government collects them alongside the recalls. Almost nobody in the RV world links them.

Appliances and components

The fridge, the water heater, the generator and the portable heater are consumer products before they are RV parts, so they are recalled through a different agency.
